Paraffin is biodegradable, extra hard and waterproof. The products are handmade.

* I don’t like the way they combined the two parts into one, I would do it differently, but I do like the idea. It’s a great way of reusing old (broken) tableware.

Designers comment: The Hybdrid pieces may seem uncoordinated but they do look very interesting. Each half of each piece has its own story or pattern that meets the other different fraction of another pattern or story.

Wooden bowls by Hans-Henning Pedersen

The ‘wood boost’ collection communicates an appreciation of wood either through
its use as a medium in the actualization of work or in emulating the qualities of this raw material. Pedersen’s series is comprised of bowls of various depths and circumferences, all shaped from freshly-felled tree trunks cut to 3mm thin.

The artist draws attention to the elasticity of the material in highlighting the grain and markings through the form of each piece.
